  24. Get 1 half doll (used for doll cakes)

Steps to make Butterfly doll cake:
  1. Pre-heat the oven at 180°C.
  2. For vanilla sponge: Take all the dry ingredients and sieve them 4-5 times for softer sponge.
  3. In a microwave proof bowl take wet ingredients except vanilla essence. Heat the contents for 1 minute at high temperature.
  4. Now add vanilla essence to the wet ingredients. Add the dry ingredients in 3 parts by cut and fold method.
  5. Transfer the properly mixed batter into a well greased 8" round cake tin. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 55 minutes or till the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cake on wire rack and then cover it with cling wrap. Refrigerate the cling wrapped cake atleast for 2 hours.
  7. For frosting: Take the whipping cream in a cold bowl and whip till stiff peaks obtained.
  8. When the whipped cream is ready it becomes double in quantity.
  9. For chocolate ganache: Heat the fresh cream till mild bubbles are obtained. To this add the chopped chocolate and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  10. Now mix both of them properly and keep it aside to set at room temperature for atleast 6 hours.
  11. For chocolate mousse: Mix 1/4 cup set chocolate ganache and 1/4 cup of whipped cream.
  12. Cut the vanilla sponge into 3 parts.
  13. Take a cake board and spread the whipped cream on it. Now place the first part of the cake sponge on it.
  14. Soak the first part of the sponge and spread the whipped cream on it. Now sprinkle tutti fruity on it.
  15. Repeat the same with the second part and cover the sides properly.
  16. Take the last part of the sponge and soak it with sugar syrup.
  17. Cover the whole cake with whipped cream and refrigerate for about an hour.
  18. Now remove the cake and cut into half and flip them to arrange the parts as shown in the picture.
  19. Cover the outer side with chocolate ganache and decorate with colourful sugar hearts.
  20. Cover the remaining part with whipped cream and give a wavy effect using cake comb.
  21. Decorate the top part with chocolate mousse, tutti fruity and chocolate chips.
  22. Now insert the half doll in the upper middle part of the cake. Support the doll by placing muffin below it.
  23. Cover the doll with chocolate mousse to give effect of dress.
  24. A very yummy and different type of cake is ready to serve.

Prepare your cake pans and bowl. Sprinkle flour over the coated pans and bowl, and tap out any extra flour. The bowl will function as a cake pan for the top portion. Remove cakes from pans and bowl. Cut off rounded tops of cakes.
